Panna cotta is an Italian dessert made with milk, sugar, sweetened, cream thickened with gelatin. Check out this recipe using fresh Philippine mangos! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
2 tsp | 6 g Gelatin
3 tbsp | 45 mL Hot water
4 cups | 5 Mangos diced
2 tbsp | 30 mL Mango juice or mango nectar
1.5 cups | 360 mL Whole milk
1.5 cups | 360 mL of cream
2 tsp | 6 g Gelatin
1 tsp | 5 mL Vanilla extract
3/4 cup | 75 g Powdered sugar
Whisk on low heat, do not boil
Pinch of salt (optional)


Steps:
1.) Peel, dice and then blend 5 mangos (~4 cups)with 2 tbsp of mango juice/mango nectar to make mango Puree
2.) mix 2tsp gelatin with 3tbsp hot water
3.) Add the pureed mangos to gelatin and hot water mixture
4.) Using another cup/bowl or cupcake tray, add the mango mixture to individual serving cups at a 45 degree angle
5.) Refrigerate for 2 hours
6.) Steam on low heat, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, geltin, and powdered sugar for 4-5 minutes until all ingredients are dissolved. Do NOT boil.
7.) Allow the milk/cream mixture to cool down for 20-30 minutes
8.) Add the milk mixture to the pureed mango mixture, once the mango has fully gelatinized
9.) Refrigerate for 2 hours
10.) Top with fresh mango slices and enjoy!
