Check out these light and fluffy, yet savory twisted Chinese scallion rolls, also known as Huā juǎn or Mandarin rolls. These rolls are made by steaming leavened wheat flour with sesame oil, fresh scallions, five spice and salt.

INGREDIENTS
275 g | 2.25 Cups - All Purpose Flour
150 mL | 2/3rd cups | 5.5 oz Whole Milk warmed to 105 - 110 F | 40.5 - 43.3 C
7 g | 2.25 tsp | 1/4 oz of Active Dry Yeast
5 g | 1 tsp Baking powder
12 g | 1 tbsp of White Granulated Sugar
3 g | 1/2 tsp Salt
2 g | 1/2 tsp Five spice powder (alternative can use Jiao Yan)
15 mL | 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
50 g | 1/2 cup Scallions Diced

This recipe makes 4-6 pieces. So feel free to double or quadruple the recipe for more rolls.
