Time Type : What are
Time Type : What are time types and how to create them?
Time Types are created for each leave type the employee records his time against. If an employee is entitled for Annual Leave, Sick Leave and Long Service Leave, we will create three time types in the system so that the employee can book his time using each of these time types.
If an employee goes on an annual leave for 5 days he will use "Annual Leave" time type to book his leaves.
Time Types can be classified as Absence, Attendance, On Call and Break
If you want to use a time type for the time sheet application, you need to select “Attendance” and so on.
Most of the discussion in this video is about the "Absence" classification of time off.
The Time Type object has fields which are relevant for the below categories:
Unit-Related Setup
Workflow Setup
Leave of Absence Setup
Data Purge
Other Settings
Follow the below steps in order to create the Time Types:
Go to Manage Data
Create New: Time Type
By default classification is set to Absence, change the classification to create time type for attendance, break or on call categories.
