Employee Hire Using Imports
The administrators can add employees to the system or import the employee data using the Import Employee Data tool. Employee hire can be done at the below two places:
In the Tools Search field, in the Admin Center, search for Add New Employee, to add an employee.
In the Tools Search field, in the Admin Center, search Import Employee Data, to hire employee using employee import.
User id or person id is mandatory when performing employee import. The user is not processed if this field in the template is left blank.
In ‘Add New Hire’ wizard user-id is generated automatically or a rule can be defined to generate it.
But in "Basic Import" the user id is not generate automatically.
The data fields can be chosen when creating the template. These fields will appear in the downloaded template. The standard fields are an exception and are auto selected as a part of the template.
Not all columns should be included with &&NO_OVERWRITE&&. Only those columns which you want to update should be included. The Import Framework will treat all fields which are not included in the import as &&NO_OVERWRITE&&.
NO_MANAGER and NO_HR should be provided in the supervisor and HR fields in the Basic Data import if there is no manager or HR assigned to the employee.
The import should be done in the specific sequence as described in the video. Follow the same sequence to avoid errors.
