Guava Cheese

Ingredients:
2 kg Guavas
1 kg Sugar
1 tbsp Ghee
Pink gel color (optional)

Preparation
Wash and clean the guavas, split into two and steam them for about 15 minutes in a cooker.
Once the guavas cool, separate the seeds in a spoon as shown.
Blend the moist guavas into a fine paste. Use the leftover syrup while blending.

Heat the paste and sugar in a shallow vessel.
Recommend using a wooden spoon or spatula stir it continuously to avoid sticking to the bottom.

Cook at a low flame and stir continuously as the mixture will sputter.
As the mixture thickens gradually, add ghee.
Cook for about 90 minutes.

After done, transfer the hot mixture into a greased mold or dish.
Flatten it with a spatula into a half-inch thick layer and allow it to cool for about 1 hour.
Cut the guava cheese into a diamond shape.

Store these guava cheese in an airtight container.
