I hear people use the term Gaslighting all the time, but I'm not sure how often we look at our past and think about how Gaslighting has impacted us . First off, Gaslighting is a psychological act by a person or entity to manipulate (and gain power over) someone else. This shows up in relationships where there is an imbalance of power  As anyone who has been impacted by religious trauma knows, the power struggle in the church world is REAL, and leaders are not above using Gaslighting to keep their congregation in line.
