Purity Culture, the awful hangover from the 90s that just won't won't quit.
Like many people who grew up in a legalistically minded church setting, I had to unlearn a lot of these lies. And yet, even with all of the negative emotions, the unlearning of assumptions, and the deprogramming of so many; Purity Culture still exists and is alive and well in many churches (and some secular areas also). Check out our video, the first in our purity series, about the lies that purity culture tells women and the ways in which we can start to heal from them.
