१ सुप्पतिट्ठितपादो – ( सुप्रतिष्ठित पादौ ) -- समतल पाँव
२ चक्रवरन्कित -- दोनों पाँवों के तलुवों पर १००० कड़ियों वाले चक्र
३ आयातपण्हि ( आयत पार्ष्णि ) -
४ दीघङ्गुलि (दीर्घाङ्गुलि) – हाथ और पैर की अंगुलियां लम्बी
५ मुदुतलुनहत्थपादो ( मृदुतरुणहस्त पाद )
६ जाल हत्थोपादो ( जाल हस्त पाद )
७ उस्सङ्गपादो ( उस्सन्ख पाद )
८ एणिजङ्ख ( एणी जँघ)
९ परिमसति परिमज्जति ( आजान बाहु ) -- घुटने तक लम्बी बाहें
१० कोसोहितवत्थगुह्यो ( कोषाच्छादित वस्ति गुह्य )
११ सुवर्णवण्णो – ( सुवर्ण वर्ण ) -- सोने के रंग की त्वचा
१२ सुखुमच्छवि ( सूक्ष्मछवि )-
१३ एकेकलोमो ( एक एक लोम )
१४ उद्धग्गलोमो ( उर्ध्वाग्रलोम )
१५ ब्रह्मुजुगतोझ ( ब्राह्मऋजु- गात्र )
१६ सत्तुस्सदो ( सप्त उद्सद )
१७ सीहपुब्बद्धकायो ( सिंहपूर्वार्धकाया ) -- छाती सहित काया का मध्यभाग सिंह जैसा हो
१८ चितन्तरसो ( चिताँतराँस )
१९ निग्रोधपरिमण्डलो ( न्यग्रोध परिमण्डल )
२० समवट्टक्खन्धो – ( समवर्त स्कन्ध )-
२१ रसग्गसग्गी (रस रसाग्रि)
२२ सीहहनु (सिंहहनु) - सिंह के समान सुन्दर दाढ
२३ चत्तालिस दन्तो (चत्तालिस दन्त) -- चालीस दांत
२४ समदन्तो (समदन्त) -- दाँत आगे-पीचे न हों, समान पंक्तिबद्ध हों
२५ अविरलदन्तो (अविवर दन्त ) -- दांतों के बीच छिद्र न हों
२६ सुसुक्कदाठो (सुशुक्लदाढ) --
२७ पहूतजिव्हो (प्रभूतजिव्हा) -- लम्बी जिह्वा
२८ ब्रह्मस्सरो (ब्रह्मस्वर) --
२९ अभिनीलनेत् (अभिनीलनेत्र) -- अलसी जैसे नीले नेत्र
३० गोपखुमो (गो पक्ष्म) --
३१ ओदाता उण्णा (श्वेत उर्णा)
३२ उण्हीससीसो (उष्णीष शीर्ष)
32 traits or Lakshanas of the Buddha
General characteristics of the Buddha are he had elongated body, long arms, long fingers and long hands. His face was elongated with a protruding head called the Ushnisha, well formed nose, Buddha’s ears were long, and hair was fine, black with soft curls. The eyes of the Buddha are claimed to have been wide and bluish in color.
The 32 Characteristics of Lord Buddha are -
Level feet which stood evenly on the ground.
The Mark of a thousand-spoked wheel on the soles.
Projecting heels.
Long toes and fingers.
Pliant hands and feet.
Soft hand and foot skins.
Net like lines of palms and soles.
Raised ankles.
Calf muscles like an antelope.
The palms of the hands could touch the knees without bending.
