An introduction (3.5 mins) to a series of tutorials on the use of a general purpose small engineering lathe. The lathe used here is a 1955 Boxford Model A lathe but the methods are applicable to any metal lathe before the CNC era. The British Boxford lathes are almost identical to the American South Bend lathes of the same era and many other brands. To play all of the videos in this series click on the playlist link below.
