Functional Level Strategies Explained With Example || Strategic Management

Functional level strategies are the everyday decision the lower level managers are going to take in order to fulfill the vision of the corporate level and business level managers.
The functional departments in an organization are, marketing , finance, HR, R&D, Production Etc.
The marketing department is going to take care of the things like how to reach more and more potential customers and how to solidify a bond with the customers you already have. That way, the customers are not going to be likely to deflect from loyalty.
The finance department is also a vital functional department of the organization.they will take care of the money in the organization. Where the money is coming from, i.e. raising capital, and where the money is going to be used i.e. allocating resources etc is the responsibility of the finance department.
The human resource departments is going to take care of one of the most important aspects of the organization. That is, the people that are working in your organization. They will take care of the process of recruiting and educating the people that will be the future of your company.
Production department is literally going to make what you are going to sell to the market. They can try and implement better and more flexible system of manufacturing that will save time in the production process.
They can also try and pursue to reach economies of scale so that the overall cost of production can drastically go down.
IT departments are going to be responsible for automating a lot of the processes of the way the business is being conducted. They have the power to vastly reduce the cost of communicating throughout the organization and coordinate large projects.
Research and development department is going to research and develop new ways of the process of manufacturing through innovation and they are also likely to design a new model of the product or service that you are offering to the market.
