Sea cucumbers possess vital vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that provide important health benefits.  Sea cucumbers are also a good source of magnesium, which helps your heart beat and bones grow while contributing to the production of healthy DNA.
The process of preparing the dried sea cucumbers for cooking might take 5-7 days, or even longer, depending on the size, thickness and quality of the sea cucumber, but when it is perfectly prepared, it’s satisfying 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
The sea cucumbers in the video are American dried sea cucumbers (28-30 pieces in 1.1 pound).  Hope you can have a successful experience after watching my video 😉
Warm reminder💖
1. Prepare a container with lid, make sure there’s no oil in it, NOT A SINGLE DROP🚨
2. Soak the sea cucumbers in water for about 2-3 days until they are softened.  Put them in the refrigerator during thd soaking process. Change water 2-3 times a day, make sure you use cold water.
3. In my case, on Day 3, put the sea cucumber in a pot of cold water.  Bring it to a boil and add 1/2 teaspoonful of tea leaves.  Boil for 2minutes using low heat.  Then turn off the stove and let them soak there until the water is cold.
4. Clean the inner part of the sea cucumbers by cutting it open with a pair of scissors.  Then use a teaspoon to remove the dirt and residue.  Repeat the same process until all the sea cucumbers are cleaned.
5. Now we have to boil them the second time, but this time we need to add some ginger, green onion and cooking wine.  Put the sea cucumbers in a pot of cold water, put all the ingredients in and bring it to a boil.  Boil for 3 minutes using low heat.  Then turn off the stove and let them soak there until the water is cold.
6. Now it’s the last step.  Remove them from the water and rinse them with cold water.  Then soak them for another 2-3 days and they are ready for cooking.  Put them in the refrigerator during thd soaking process.
7. You can prepare more and put them in Ziplock bags and store them in the freezer.  Then you can use them anytime you like.
8. 💖 Before adding them into other dishes, take this extra step and they will taste much better.  Cook them with cooking wine, ginger and green onion for 2 minutes with the lid on.  It can enhance the taste of the sea cucumbers 😋😋
