This story of Yama and Nachiketa belongs to the Katha Upanishad. A young lad named Nachiketa sees his father Uddalaka donating old and useless cows to the Brahmin purohits and becomes sad. He asks his father whom is he going donate him? Angry Uddalaka answers that he is donating him to Yama, the god of death.
Here is the first part of the long story, in which Nachiketa reaches Yamaloka.

In this 2nd part of the story, Nachiketa meets Yama and Yama offers three boons to him. He asks the knowledge of Brahmavidya as one of the boons. After examining him thoroughly for his eligibility, Yama teaches him the Brahmavidya.
