This is a 90 min yin&yang yoga flow exploring Pigeon Pose (or Swan which is the similar yin asana).

The class is a blend of Yin&Yang. We are starting with Yin postures to open and prepare the body for the upcoming Pigeon Poses during the yang part. Expect to find deep stretches for the outer hip area, hip flexor region as well as some backbends. I am giving plenty of variations (for some a yoga strap or similar equipment is particularly useful). Listen to your body and see for yourself which variation works for you.

I love the blend of Yin&Yang as they really complement each other. During the Yang part we are working on a muscular level, building up strength and working on mobility. In Yin we are working on the deeper connective tissue (fascia, tendons, ligaments), applying gentle pressure over a longer time allows these kinds of tissues to become stronger.

See you on the mat my beautiful yoga friends.

(for this class I would recommend my ‘Yin’-playlist, maybe for the entire class; unless you need a little more ‘awakening’ when we transition into the yang, then I would recommend switching to my ‘Slow Yoga’ playlist)

Yoga means to me? 'coming home to yourself'

Self-sensitivity. Developing awareness and thereby a feeling for oneself – for the body, thoughts and emotions – recognising one´s own needs and giving them space.
Change of perspective. Instead of looking outwards, looking inwards – reviewing expectations (one´s own and those of others) – discovering what matters most in life.
Self-love. Accepting oneself – getting in touch with one´s own life-themes – developing a loving attitude towards oneself and others
