Hypersonics | ADSTAR 2024

Hypersonics is one of six #ADSTAR Summit 2024 themes.

Hypersonic weapons will deliver long-range strike capabilities to hold an adversary further from our shores and earlier than conventional methods. Their development is part of Australia’s agreement with AUKUS partners. DSTG is researching and developing technologies associated with offensive and defensive systems, including the development and flight test of hypersonic weapon prototypes.

We are collaborating with academia, the US and Australian industry to establish sovereign manufacturing capabilities in key hypersonic technologies in Australia.

The Australian Defence Science, Technology and Research (ADSTAR) Summit brings the innovation, science and technology enterprise together to share ideas on a global scale and will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 17 to 19 September 2024.

A must-attend event for small-to-medium businesses, industry, academia, and Government professionals who have expertise and interest in harnessing capability for a resilient Defence force. Attendees will hear from and engage with senior defence leaders and researchers, as well as defence industry representatives and other Australian and international researchers.

Attending in person is the best way to maximise your ADSTAR experience. However, the summit is offered as a hybrid event for those unable to travel. In this way, we can connect with partners face-to-face, across the country and around the world. There will be presentations, workshops, panel sessions, networking opportunities and an interactive exhibition floor as well as a gala dinner.
