Quantum technologies are in their infancy but have the potential to rewrite how computing, networking, communications, cryptography, and sensing systems work. In the Defence sphere, we will proliferate a robust sovereign quantum innovation system to deliver next-generation sensing, measurement, communications, and computing capabilities to address ADF challenges, such as the provision of precise position, navigation and timing in the absence of the global navigation satellite system.
The Australian Defence Science, Technology and Research (ADSTAR) Summit brings the innovation, science and technology enterprise together to share ideas on a global scale and will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 17 to 19 September 2024.
A must-attend event for small-to-medium businesses, industry, academia, and Government professionals who have expertise and interest in harnessing capability for a resilient Defence force. Attendees will hear from and engage with senior defence leaders and researchers, as well as defence industry representatives and other Australian and international researchers.
Attending in person is the best way to maximise your ADSTAR experience. However, the summit is offered as a hybrid event for those unable to travel. In this way, we can connect with partners face-to-face, across the country and around the world. There will be presentations, workshops, panel sessions, networking opportunities and an interactive exhibition floor as well as a gala dinner.
