I SPENT 36 HOURS IN
I SPENT 36 HOURS IN THE FORESTS OF ZAMBOANGA.
This was a beautiful mountain home in Nanga-Nangan, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur. Nearby is a Subanen community, a people who have been living on the peninsula for over a thousand years, and who I was very interested in visiting.
It turns out - they are very much like us!
A new exploration in the Philippines begins, as I start to experience the vibrant diversity of the Zamboanga Peninsula!
UPDATE:
Agh! I forgot to subtitle at around 13 minutes! The explanation of why the Subanens moved from the river. This is the translation:
"Before, the Subanens lived beside the river.
But something happened regarding their belief that a Big Flood was coming. So now they had to move to the hills instead."
