ingredients
the Pastie Mixture:
- 500g minced pork
- 2 medium potatoes, grated
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice or mixed spice (optional)

The Batter:
- 200g plain flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- Water (enough to make a batter)
- Salt, to taste

- Vegetable oil for deep frying
cook 180c - 350f - 5 to 7 mins - golden brown
