Bodycam DUI Arrest - Woman Arrested for Hit & Run and Suspicion of DUI in Pullman, WA

On November 18, 2023, Pullman police officers were dispatched to the scene of a hit and run collision.   The caller reported that he believed the vehicle parked about a block away from the crash site.  Officer Romero was the first to arrive and immediately noticed various car parts belonging to a white Subaru.   Sgt. Harris walked the neighborhood and spotted a vehicle matching the description.  It had moderate front end damage consistent with crashing into a fence.   When Officers Westerman and Tiengo arrived, they knocked on the front door of the apartment and a woman claiming to be the owner of the Subaru answered the door.  She denied any involvement, but when she went back inside to get a pair of shoes, her boyfriend came to the door and admitted that she hit a fence.   The woman refused to submit to field sobriety tests and was arrested for hit and run and suspicion of DUI.  She was taken to the Pullman police station where, after speaking with an attorney, she refused to submit to a breath test.   She was given a criminal citation for the 2 charges and a court date.  Her criminal case is still open.  All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
