Bodycam DUI Arrest - Argumentative, Drunk, Drama Queen is Arrested for DUI

On April 20, 2024, Las Cruces Police Officers were investigating a shots fired call.  While they were interviewing witnesses, a Hyundai came driving down the street at a high rate of speed.  The car made a U-turn and came back towards the house involved in the shooting call.  Officers made contact with the 21-year-old driver and the police report indicates that officers could smell the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.  The woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests.   The self-proclaimed "law student" became argumentative and ultimately failed to complete the tests.  She was placed under arrest for DUI and was transported to the Las Cruces police station.  She was offered a breath test, but refused it.  She was charged with one count of aggravated driving while under the influence of liquor.  Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
