The purpose of One-Arm Swimming is to maintain body position and develop feel for the rearward pull. With one arm extended forward, swim with only one arm (the other arm). When rotating body and turning to breathe, only let one eye come out of the water.  Breathe to the side of the stroking arm. Repeat this drill with the other arm.

Helpful Tidbits
- Pull back with your forearms, don’t push down.
- Don’t bob up and down with each stroke.
- Take long, strong strokes.
- The extension phase should focus on pushing water down towards your feet and not up to the sky.
