The best Rasmalai recipe at home with this fantastic milk powder Rasmalai recipe. It’s the perfect dessert for all occasions.
Here is what you will need.
Ingredients:
Milk Powder – 130g
Baking Powder – 1 Tsp
Plain Flour – 1 Tbsp
Ghee – 1 Tbsp
Egg – 2 Medium – Whisked
Milk – 1 Ltr
Green Cardamon – 4 Pieces
Pistachio – 20g – Finely Chopped (Optional)
Sugar – 130g
Milk Powder – 4 Tbsp
Milk – 100ml
Saffron – Pinch (Optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl add 130g milk powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp plain flour, 1 tbsp ghee, 2 medium eggs (whisked) & mix and kneed for 5 minutes into a soft dough then cover & rest for 10 minutes.
2. Make 1 inch dough balls and slightly flatten them.
3. In a large saucepan add 1 litre milk, 4 green cardamon, 20g pistachio finely chopped (optional), 130g sugar & bring to a simmer on medium heat stirring occasionally, slowly add the balls into the milk, cover & boil for 10 minutes on medium to high heat.
4. After the balls have doubled in size, remove the balls on to a plate.
5. In a bowl add 4 tbsp of milk powder & 100ml milk, mix well then add to saucepan add pinch of saffron (optional) bring to a boil stirring occasionally, then bring to simmer on low to medium heat and remove 4 pieces, green cardamon’s and add balls back into the saucepan cover and let it cool.
6. Ready to enjoy
