In this Taiwan travel vlog… let’s revisit Jiufen (九份) Old Street and Keelung City (基隆市), two of our favorite destinations in Taiwan.
But first, breakfast! We head to Datong District for some good old Taipei food - the breakfast for champions at Ri Xin Xuan Zuo restaurant. Afterwards, we return to Unite Hotel to freshen up and squeeze in laundry time.
And then to Jiufen, we go! Traveling from Taipei to Jiufen takes over an hour, but the charm of the land of Spirited Away beckons and it makes getting there rather exciting! We take a bus from Jinan Park to Jinguashi and get off at the stop at Jiufen. After some food binge and meeting a legendary stone art artisan, Master James Chiou (邱智明老師), we find our way through the fog and hie off to Keelung City to continue our food trip at the Miaokou Night Market (廟口夜市). Here, we feast on nutritious sandwiches, youfan (油飯), and crab thick soup (螃蟹羹).
We will share travel information as we go, which we hope will help guide you when it’s your time to visit the Heart of Asia.
