Beef Cutlet - Meat
Cutlets is a Fusion recipe, which is loved by people of all age groups. A cutlet is a must appetizer in any party. Cutlets are simple and delicious to make and can be served as an evening snack or as a main course. Beef cutlets are typically made with potatoes, coated with breadcrumbs and deep-fried. You can make it with chicken, beef, mutton, vegetables, prawns and even fish.
These can be deep fried, shallow fried or even baked. The cutlets are a popular snack item on Indian Restaurant menus. I have crumb coated these and shallow fried them. These beef cutlets can be made ahead and refrigerated for about a week and longer in the freezer. If I intend to freeze them I do not add potatoes. You can add the boiled potatoes just when you are about to fry them. Some call it cutlets, people in the north call it tikkis and some as croquettes.
List of ingredients
300 gms of beef mince
300 gms boiled potatoes
Salt as required
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 large onions
3 green chillies
Few curry leaves
Oil as required
3/4 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
3/4 tsp green chilly paste
3/4 tsp pepper powder
Juice of half a lemon
Poha powder/ bread crumbs as required
Coriander leaves
