✿Goan Style Muga Gathi | Mugachya Gathi| Green Gram Sprouts curry✿

Recipe Ingredients
. 1 Big cup sprouted green gram
. 1 cup Fresh grated coconut
. 2 to 3 tsp Oil
. 2 tsp Red chilly powder
. Small lemon size tamarind
. 1 tsp Turmeric powder
. 1 tsp Mustard seeds
. Salt to taste
. 7 to 8 Curry leaves
. 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
. 2 tsp Coriander seeds
. Water

Method:
Step 1 - Soak Moong for 5 - 6 hours. Drain the water and keep it covered overnight in a muslin cloth to sprout.
Step 2 - Dry roast coriander seeds and mustard seeds till it releases aroma.
Step 3 - Grind  grated coconut,dry roasted masala, red chilli powder, tamarind,turmeric powder and water to a fine paste.
Step4 - Cook the sprouted moong by adding two cups of water.
Step 5 - Add the ground masala to the cooked sprouted moong.
Step 6 - Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil
Step 7 - Add salt as per taste and mix well.
Step 8 - Cover the lid and let the curry cook on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 9 - Temper the curry with mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.
Step 10 - Mix well

Hot hot Muga Gathi is ready to be served.
Enjoy the curry with steamed rice, puri or chapati.
