All In One Softball Drill:
All In One Softball Drill: This is a great drill/game that you can use to help develop our overall players softball skills. It’s a great way to end a practice or use for a fun practice to end the season, letting your players have some competitive fun.

Setup of Drill: Setup your players into 2 groups. Setup one bownet facing 1st base, to the right of the pitchers circle, and the 2nd bownet to the facing 2nd base, behind the pitchers circle. 1 Pylon to the left of 1st base. 4 pylons in Left Center and the other 4 pylons in Right Center, both in the shape of a square. 1 Empty bucket sitting on top of another bucket in 3rd base foul side, in between 3rd and home plate. 5 - 6 balls at each base. 1 Tee on home plate with 1 ball ready to hit.

Step 1: One player from each team goes one at a time doing the following. Player hits the ball off the tee, to try and get ball into one of the 4 pylon squares in the outfield. As soon as the ball is hit, (someone starts the timer on their phone/stop watch) and player runs to 1st base and makes the turn on 1st base, touches the pylon and then slides back into first base head first.

Step 2: Player then picks up a ball from the ground the throws the ball into the bownet, facing 1st base. If thrown into bownet, players runs to 2nd base and slides into 2nd base. Picks up a ball from the ground and throws into bownet facing 2nd base. If thrown into bownet, player runs to 3rd base.

Step 3: Player slides into 3rd base, picks up a ball from the ground and throws the ball at the top bucket, trying to hit the bucket off the other bucket. When the top bucket falls off the bottom bucket, player runs home. Then the timer stops.

Rules of Drill/Game: Someone keeps track of each players time from each team, if the player hit the ball into one of the 4 pylon squares in the outfield, minus 5 seconds off their total time for that player. Add all the players times on each team and the lowest time for all players on a team, wins the game!
