In this video, we show you a Bhindi Aloo Recipe. Bhindi is also known as Okra or Lady Finger, and this delicious vegetable goes really well when combined with potatoes. This is such a delicious and easy Aloo Bhindi fry recipe that can be enjoyed with roti.

To make the Bhindi Aloo Recipe, you will need:
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera/zeera)
300g Bhindi (okra) We used frozen bhindi but you can use fresh too
1 onion thinly sliced
1 large potato (cubed)
salt to taste
1 tsp coriander powder (dhania)
1/2 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp ground black pepper (kali mirch)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 medium-sized tomato (diced)
2 green chilies
1 tsp jaggery
1/2 tsp cumin powder
fresh lemon or lime juice
1 tsp dried Kasuri methi
fresh coriander
red chilies for garnishing (optional)

This Aloo Bhindi masala recipe is so easy to make and one of our family's favourite vegetarian recipes. In the subcontinent, this dish is also known as aloo bhindi ki sabzi, and if often eaten with chapati (or roti). Bhindi (or okra) is a popular vegetarian dish in Pakistani and Indian households and can be made in many ways. The way we have shown is really quick and packed full of flavour.
