Nando's Style Spicy Vegetable Rice (Easy Recipe!) - Nandos Spicy Rice at home
In this video, we show you how to make Nando's style spicy vegetable rice easily at home. This Spicy Rice recipe is actually even more delicious than Nando's. How to make Nando's spicy rice:
3 tbs olive oil (or neutral oil of your choice)
1 small onion
3-4 garlic cloves
salt to taste
1 small carrot
1/4 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup frozen sweetcorn
1/4 cup mixed capsicum peppers
1/2 cup tinned, chopped or grated tomatoes
1 tbs tomato puree
2-3 spring onions
1-2 green chilies (or as per your taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp chili flakes (or as per your taste)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning spice *see notes below if you don't have this
2 cups rice (we used basmati rice which was washed and soaked for 20 minutes)
3 & 1/2 cups hot water
lemon juice
fresh coriander for garnishing
*Notes: Cajun seasoning spice is a combination of various spices. Although there are slight variations of the spices used in cajun seasoning, it usually contains the following - paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, white pepper, onion, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
