Where Has the Illustrator Options Bar Gone? (Control Panel)

Illustrator has traditionally had a series of Tool dependent features running across the top area. Selecting, for example, some text, has always shown Character and Paragraph related options. As Adobe has populated the Properties panel with more tool dependent features, the need for these options also displayed at the top has diminished.

Adobe appears to now have these top displayed options not visible by default. The good news is they can easily be brought back by activating the "Control" option within the Window menu.
