This video will talk about the Jewish Religious Texts, such as the Written Law (Hebrew Bible or Old Testament, the Oral Law or Talmud, and the Jewish Exegesis or Midrash.

To the Christians, the first part of the Bible is Old Testament, but the Jews never call it Old Testament, instead, Hebrew Bible, or TANAK, acronym for Torah, Neviim, Ketuvim. (Law, Prophets, Writings). These are the literal words of God, dictated by the Almighty to Moses and prophets. Jews in particular, revere it because they were its original recipient. The Jews believed that the Christians claim that the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) was superseded by a new and improved version, the New Testament, making the former Testament “old” and outdated. However, what makes the Hebrew Bible so precious for Jews is that it remains always new, fresh, and relevant in every generation. It’ not the “old” Testament for Jews, rather it’s the “only” Testament.
