Be a light to our own parents who spend all their lives,
Come to Aloka Elders’ Home ...
This is a post about Aloka Elders’ Home run by Aloka Human Resource Development Foundation.
Aloka Elders' Home, which was started by 10 adults 8 years ago today, currently provides care to 115 senior citizens. This Aloka Elderly Home is a shelter for helpless parents who are sometimes left homeless and treated in hospitals but have no caregiver.
Also, this nursing home is unique among other Elder homes in the island. It is located in the precincts of the Saddharmakara Pirivena.
It has been ongoing since its inception, but all donations to the organization have stopped due to the Corona epidemic in the country. Due to this situation, the assistance received from the residents of the area has been stopped.

අදින් වසර 08 පෙර වැඩිහිටියන් 10 කින් ආරම්භ කෙරුණු ආලෝකා වැඩිහිටි නිවාසය මේ වනවිට වැඩිහිටියන් 115කට රැකවරණය ලබා ලබාදෙයි. හව්හරණක් නොමැතිව ඇතැම් අවස්ථාවල මහ මග දමාගිය සහ රෝහල් වලින් ප්‍රතිකාර ලබා එහෙත් භාරකරුවකු නොමැති අසරණ දෙමව්පියන්ට සෙවණක් වන නිවහනකි මේ පිංවත්ත, ආලෝකා වැඩිහිටි නිවාසය.
එමෙන්ම මෙම වැඩිහිටි නිවාසය දිවයිනේ සෙසු වැඩිහිටි නිවාසවලට වඩා සුවිශේෂී වන්නේය. ඒ සද්ධර්මාකර පිරිවෙන් පර්ශ්‍රයේ පිහිටා තිබීමයි.
ආරම්භයේ සිට මේ දක්වා අඛණ්ඩව පවත්වාගෙන ආ මුත් රටතුළ උද්ගතව ඇති කොරෝනා වසංගත තත්වය නිසා ආයතනයට ලැබෙන පරිත්‍යාග සියල්ල නතරවී ඇත. මේ තත්වය නිසා ප්‍රදේශවාසීන්ගෙන් ආයතනයට ලැබෙන උපකාර නතරවීම ඊට හේතුවයි.
