I’ve done this several times and you have to be very patient. This process works great for back bowed necks too

Needed materials:
Try’s rod wrench
Level
Flat Board
Sandpaper to sand off finish on back of neck
Wet towels
Clamps
Neck caul to help clamp the neck easier.

Clamping by itself doesn’t work and the neck usually re-twists.

Loosen the Truss to a neutral position.
Douse the the unfinished wood on the back of the neck so that it’s very wet and the wood is absorbing the water.

Clamp fret side down to a level as I show in the video.

Keep the towels moist.   Minimum two weeks clamp.

The flip it over and clamp it on a wet towel, shimming as necessary depending on the twist.  Again keep the towel wet.  Minimum two weeks.

Lastly slightly tighten the truss rod and clamp to flat board without moisture for how ever long it takes to thoroughly dry the neck.  (See the last part of the video).

I’ve tried speeding the process with a heat gun and the necks NEVER stay straight.

Good luck!
