Shows how to calculate the acceleration of a two block system with friction using Newton's Second Law. One of the blocks is on a table with friction and the other hangs off the end of the table over a pulley. The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied to the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. The second law can also be stated in terms of an object's changing momentum, such that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied and the change in momentum is in the direction of the net force.
