This video shows you how to use Newton’s second law of motion to calculate the acceleration of an object that is being pushed up an inclined plane. There are two worked examples. In the first example there is no friction and in the second example there is friction between the object and the inclined plane.

Newton’s second law states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied to the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
