This video will show you how to knit garter stitch in the round. Generally, we think of using garter stitch in chunky warm winter scarves, but it makes a pretty cute cat hat, too! The process to knit garter stitch in the round is slightly different when we transfer it to circular knitting, but it's still pretty easy to do.
For the the stitch pattern, it's as simple as knit one round, purl one round and repeat until you have the desired length. I strongly recommend using a stitch marker to mark the rounds, because it's easy to miss the start of the new round. You forget the stitch change and merrily keep knitting (or purling) along and before you realize it, you stitch pattern is wonky. So if ever there was a time for a stitch marker, this is it.
