Pronaps, what are they? In this video we will talk about the longer naps, known as pronaps in the polyphasic sleep community. A pronap is a nap placed in the REM peak, which enables for the nap to be longer than 20 minutes without entering SWS.

Polyphasic sleep is the science of sleeping in alternative sleep cycles and thus reducing the time you spend sleeping. There are also other benefits to this sleeping style, like shortened sleep onset and lucid dreaming benefits.
