Traditional Goan sweet which is made during Christmas. My Guava Cheese/Goan Perad recipe is fairly simple, delicious and absolutely easy, once you get the hang of it. Like most traditional recipes, this too is time-consuming and needs lots of patience too.
As the name suggests Guavas are the star ingredient here. This fudgy, chewy yet melt in mouth Guava Cheese is kids favourite.

Ripe Guavas – ½ kg
1 cup sugar
1 table spoon butter
Juice of one small lemon
1 drop pink food color
