Volvo Penta Sea Water Pump Rebuild (shaft seal, bearing, impeller replacement)

Water leaks from the shaft
Water leaks from the shaft seal of your Volvo Penta seawater pump spells disaster for the bearing, It indicates the seal is bad, which can cause water to quickly wash out the grease and cause further damage, or allow air to get into the cooling system and cause overheating conditions.
There are rebuild kits available, but these often have very cheap components, so the longevity is debatable, so what do you do?
Replacing the entire pump is an option, but they can be pricy, so if you're looking to save a few bucks and know you have a high quality bearing and seal, follow along and try this on your water pump!
