In this video, the level of antibiotic resistance for a bacterial isolate transformed with an antibiotic resistance gene is investigated. The genome of the isolate with increased resistance is also investigated using bioinformatics to confirm the presence of the gene required for kanamycin resistance. The resistance gene is also confirmed as having successfully "knocked out" the gene under investigation.
