How to create an on Change rule on a field?
On Change rules are needed when we want the system to perform an action on change of a field.It executes the defined activity automatically or suspends it as defined in the rule, when the value of a specified property changes. These rules are triggered only when a field change event is triggered on UI.
Follow the below steps to create an on Change rule on a field on the Employee Time object:
Navigate to Configure Business Rules
Select "Create New Rule"
Select "Basic"
Provide all the mandatory fields
Select "Continue"
Provide the conditions of the rule
Save
Now, assign this rule by following the below steps:
Navigate to Configure Object Definition
Search for Object Definition - Employee Time
Select Take Action : Make Correction
Select the filed on which you want to create an on Change rule.
Provide the rule created in the "Configure Business Rules" in the "Rules" section in the "Details" of the field.
Save
