And boy did we all have some fun while working up a great sweat!

You see, strength training doesn't have to be all bodybuilding and isolation lifts. Sure, sometimes just doing DBs, BBs and Machines is fun but in order to move better, get faster, jump higher etc. you need to be more DYNAMIC and train like a true athlete.

This would include stuff like Kettlebell Swings, Tire Flips, Sprints, Farmer's Carry, Prowler Sled Push/Pull, Get Ups, Box Jumps....you get the point by now I think.

Strength training should have some REAL WORLD application. Movements and exercises that get you moving like you did as a kid, climbing, jumping, twisting, running and the like. These are the movements that keep the body young, energized and super strong.

You can't just lift objects in the gym all the time and expect to maintain athleticism. You need to MOVE like an athlete, be explosive, move vertically, laterally and horizontally. Think about how Soccer players, Football players and Hockey players move. They move in all directions very quickly and with serious POWER. Free weights and machines alone can only do so much!!

Kettlebell Swings (24kg to 32kg)
Explosive Deficit Push Ups

Dog Sled Pull (fast)
Farmer's Carry (135 lbs per side)
