In The Name of St Laurence - Frodsham

Welcome to episode 8 of Ancient Churchyards of Cheshire entitled 'In the name of St Laurence' telling the history of St Laurence's church in Frodsham, Cheshire. The current church dates back to 1180 AD however it is known that an earlier timber church existed on the site before 1086. I also reveal some interesting stories from the past of this wonderful place of worship built on high ground overlooking Frodsham and the Mersey estuary.........
