Another Year of Great Discoveries - Recovering our Past Piece by Piece

For many years I have been searching for and tracking down ancient artefacts that have been lost or misplaced over time. Many of these are actually in plain sight but go unrecognised for what they are and what they represent. Here today is a short feature highlighting just a handful of such finds that I have made over the past eighteen months and I hope you enjoy seeing them. All the finds that I make are carefully preserved and saved for future generations to enjoy. Many of these finds made are displayed to the public at heritage exhibitions and heritage weekends etc. My aim is to recover more similar pieces of history now and in the future and make them available to be viewed by those interested in such historical discoveries. In this film you will see a medieval stone carved plague Protection cross dated to circa 1349 AD used during the 'Black Death' as well as a stunning stone cross of Mary Magdalene found in a collapsed stone wall close to Shap Abbey, Cumbria. Also featured in this film is the stunning solid bronze Sanctus bell dated 1577 AD, found in a garden in Hendon near London and once hung in the church of St. Giovanni on Tiber Island in Rome !! See also two ancient stone Church fonts recovered, one most probably dating back to the 12th Century.
