The Vmca is the Minimum Control Air Speed.

This the minimum speed at which you should fly in the event of a failure of your critical engine.
If you fly below the Vmca with the critical engine failed you won¡t be able to counteract the Yaw moment caused by the operative engine.

By flying above Vmca you make sure your rudder and ailerons have enough Authority on the maneuverability of your aircraft.

If the flight controls need Airflow in order to operate properly so, if the airspeed is too low (below the Vmca) the rudder and the Ailerons won't be able to counteract the Yaw moment.

Multiple factors affect the Vmca however, the most important are: The Take-off Thrust you set and the Air Density.

The Higher the Take-off Thrust the Higher will be the Vmca because the higher will be the Yaw caused by the operative engine.

The lesser the Air Density the lower will be the Vmca, because of the reduced thrust produced by the engines.

This Minimum Control AirSpeed works in close relationship with the V2.

The V2 is the Take-off Safety Speed.
