STORYLINE :
Italian prime minister Romano Prodi, currently on a five day trade visit to India, visited the tomb of Mother Teresa in the eastern Indian city of Calcutta on Monday.
Mother Teresa lies buried at Mother House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity order that was founded by her in 1949.
The revered Catholic nun is known for her life's work dedicated to helping the impoverished and the dying in Calcutta's slums.
She received the Nobel peace prize in 1979 and was beatified on October 19, 2003 at St Peter's Basilica in Rome.
Prodi is leading a delegation of cabinet ministers and business leaders and is due to hold talks with the Indian Prime minister on February 15.
The two countries are looking to double bilateral trade to 10 (b) billion US dollars (euro 7.7 (b) billion) by 2010 and are expected to sign a number of agreements.
