Welcome back to Goldifarms, I’ve been healing from my latest adventure and wanted to update you on what’s been happening at Goldifarms, the good and the sad. I’ve also included the recipe that helped heal me when the doctor could not. Feel free to make substitutions based on what you can grow in your garden.

Life continues to bless us and challenge us, and it’s important to remind one another to never let go of hope, even in hard times. Keep pursuing what nourishes you and spread the love.

Gilberto’s Garden-fresh Green Juice Recipe*

Ingredients:
· Roughly 4 cups of baby organic chard (stems removed) or spinach greens, loosely packed
· The gel of 1 large leaf of fresh organic aloe soaked for 20 minutes to remove latex. More information on that can be found here: https://homesteadandchill.com/how-to-... (substitute a third cup of aloe juice if you don’t have access to fresh aloe -and then go out and get yourself an aloe plant!)
· 1 Tbsp fresh organic tender yarrow leaves
· 1 pinch fresh organic tender comfrey leaves (optional based on your feelings towards comfrey*)
· 1 handful of fresh organic calendula blossoms (carefully washed and inspected for bugs)
· A sprig or two of fresh organic mint (I prefer pineapple mint, or strawberry mint, but any mint will do)
· ½ of an organic cucumber, peeled and sliced
· 1 piece fresh organic ginger,  like a 1-2 inch nub (peeled)
· 2 organic apples, cored, peeled and sliced
· 1 organic citrus fruit (orange, lime, lemon or grapefruit). Peeled and sectioned.
· A splash of organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother for the probiotics)
· 1 tsp of organic cinnamon
· 2 cups of filtered water
· Add raw, local honey to your taste (depending on how sweet you want your juice)

Steps:
1. Wash all of your vegetables and fruits thoroughly before using.
2. Place all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender.
3. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes
4. If the texture of all the fiber bothers you, you can strain your juice with a strainer or a nut-milk bag for a thinner juice. I used to strain it until I got used to the taste and effect of all the fiber ;-)

Note: As the juice sits, it will separate. Stir well before serving. It tastes best fresh, I recommend finishing it within 24 hours.

*  I highly recommend researching any plant before ingesting it to ensure it’s right for your nutritional and health needs.
