This training package comprises of four sections designed to aid engineers and researchers in the industry in comprehending the fundamental principles and essential techniques for simulating fatigue in composite materials using the VUMAT subroutine in ABAQUS. The initial chapter provides an overview of composite materials' fatigue behavior, encompassing the factors that contribute to fatigue failure. In the subsequent chapter, the focus is on investigating the failure mechanisms and different types of damage that can arise in composite materials. Moving forward, the third chapter delves into the impact of fatigue on composite materials, including its influence on their properties and performance. Lastly, the fourth chapter concentrates on the utilization of the VUMAT subroutine in ABAQUS for analyzing fatigue in composites, encompassing material models and criteria employed to simulate the behavior of composite materials under diverse loading conditions.
