Tribute to Muthuswami Dikshitar by Isha Samskriti

Today is the birthday of Muthuswamy Dikshitar, a most celebrated composer of Carnatic music. Stately and full of repose, his compositions describe the deity in all it's glory, bringing together the various traditions, stories and methods of worship, all woven into the song. As an offering, we present the senior vocal students rendering a masterpiece of his, on the goddess Kamalamba, in the ragam Ghanta.
