Honey bees can be found all around the world and bee sting is very common.
A bee sting is the wound and pain caused by the stinger of a female bee puncturing skin.
Fortunately, most honey bees are not aggressive towards humans and only attack when they feel threatened.
For most  people, bee sting is harmless, and  cause only local inflammation. However, in minority of cases,  it can cause systemic anaphylactic reaction and eventually death.
A honey bee that is away from the hive foraging for nectar or pollen will rarely sting, except when stepped on or roughly handled.
It is believed that worker bees can sting only once.  It is partially truth.  Because  they have barbed stinger, that can lodges in the victim’s skin, it causes tearing loose from bee’s abdomen and leading bee death in minutes.   So this happens if bee attacks big animals, with thick skin, including human.
The venom of the honeybee contains histamine, mast cell degranulating peptide, melittin, phospholipase A2, hyaluronidase and acid phosphatase. These elements are highly allergic, that’s why it causes allergic reaction in humans.
Queen honeybees have small and smoother stingers with smaller barbs, and can sting mammals repeatedly.
The first step in treatment following a honey bee sting is removal of the stinger itself. The stinger should be removed as quickly as possible without regard to method: a study has shown the amount of venom delivered does not differ whether the sting is pinched or scraped off and even a delay of a few seconds leads to more venom being injected.
Once the stinger is removed, pain and swelling should be reduced with a cold compress. A topical anesthetic containing benzocaine will relieve pain quickly and menthol is an effective anti-itch treatment. Itching can also be relieved by antihistamine or by a topical steroid cream.
Recommendations avoid bee sting:
Avoid perfumed soaps, shampoos, and deodorants.
Don’t wear cologne or perfume.
Avoid bananas and banana-scented toiletries.
Remain calm and still if a single stinging insect is flying around. (Swatting at an insect may cause it to sting.)
if you are attacked by several stinging insects at once, run to get away from them. (Bees release a chemical when they sting, which may attract other bees.
If a bee comes inside your vehicle, stop the car slowly, and open all the windows.
Persons with a history of severe allergic reactions to insect bites or stings should consider carrying an epinephrine auto injector (EpiPen) and should wear a medical identification bracelet or necklace stating their allergy.
First Aid
If a person  is stung by a bee, wasp, or hornet:

Observe id there is allergic reaction.  If anaphylactic reaction occurs epinephrine injection as son as possible.

Wash the site with soap and water.
Remove the stinger using gauze wiped over the area or by scraping a fingernail over the area.
Never squeeze the stinger or use tweezers.
Apply ice to reduce swelling.
Do not scratch the sting as this may increase swelling, itching, and risk of infection.
