Press the command space key to open the spotlight search. Then, type Terminal in the search bar and press the return key.

Now, enter the command displayed on the video screen or copy & paste it from the video description.

sudo pkill bluetoothd

After entering the command, press the return key.

You need to enter your Mac Device Password if asked.

Then wait for a few seconds. This process will help you fix the Bluetooth problems and restart the Bluetooth service.

Now, quit the terminal and restart your Mac device.

Go to the Apple menu and select Restart. Then, click on Restart to confirm.

Now your bluetooth connection is refreshed successfully. That’s it.

You can also try the alternate way to reset Bluetooth on a Mac. Which is Delete Plist Files on Mac. The Plist files on Your Mac keep your Bluetooth preferences and settings. Deleting Plist Files will remove the old Bluetooth data and make a new file with updated information. This method applies to all macOS (macOS Monterey and later versions)

To delete Bluetooth Plist files, Launch the finder app and click on the Go menu at the top.

Now, select Go to folder.

You must enter the system configuration path displayed in the on-screen video.

/Library/Preferences/

Then, find the plist files or type in the search bar.

com.apple.Bluetooth.plist

Create a backup folder on the desktop and drag and drop the plist files into the backup folder.

Now, Go back and select Bluetooth Preference files and right-click to select the Move to Trash option.

In the same way, you should remove the Bluetooth Plist files from the host.

Click on the Go menu and select Go to Folder. Now, enter the system configuration path displayed on the video screen.

/Library/Preferences/ByHost

Then, Press the Return Key.

com.apple.Bluetooth.xxx.plist

Now, Find the plist file and drag & drop it to the Desktop to create a backup folder on the desktop.

Then, select the plist file by host and right-click on the mouse. Select move to trash option. Then, confirm the delete process.

Now, go to the Apple menu and select the Restart option. Your device will show a pop-up to confirm.

Select the Restart option. That’s it.

This process may help your Mac device to remove old plist files and generate new ones.

That’s it.

For macOS Big Sur or earlier, Press and hold the option and shift key on your Mac Keyboard and click the bluetooth icon in the menu bar.

You will see Reset the Bluetooth module. Click on it.

Your Mac device will show a pop-up to confirm the reset action. You can not undo this action.

Click on ok to confirm.
