Keir Starmer names Labour Cabinet with UK's first ever female Chancellor

Keir Starmer has assembled Labour's first Cabinet in 14 years in the wake of his party's landslide majority on July 4.

And he wasted no time making his first political appointees, with Reeves among the first in the door, having previously served in Starmer's shadow cabinet.

Ian Murray has been made Scottish Secretary, having served in the role between 2015 and 2016. He was Scottish Labour's sole MP after the 2015 and 2019 general elections.
